Nothing like a mother figure’s love.
Excuse the tardiness, just running a little behind.
For everyone attending MFF, we are planning to have some Tales of Avalon merchandise at Betsy’s table. Here is the breakdown;
Hyenas are Coming Mini-Posters: For everyone who remembers, we did a fun little image of Runihura in the same pose as Eddard Stark while saying “Brace Yourselves, Hyenas are Coming.” There will be 50 of those available at Betsy’s table for $5.00/each.
A Song of Sand and Fire: The Two Silver Ankhs #1. Now for the news you’ve all been waiting for! First things first though. DEPENDING ON THE PRINTING COMPANY, we SHOULD have 50 copies of the first issue of the Tales of Avalon comic book. (For simplicity’s sake, we’re just going to use the section title, since The Tales of Avalon: A Song of Sand and Fire: The Two Silver Ankhs #1 is a bit of a mouthful). There should be the following;
20 Sketch Cover Issues. These issues are specifically designed so you can have someone draw on the cover! That means you can pay Betsy to doodle something on the Comic’s cover making it completely personalized TO YOU! These will be available for purchase at $7.50/each. Due to the very limited quantity, we respectfully ask you only purchase one copy. If you are unable to attend the convention and would like a Sketch Cover Issue, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.
30 Standard Cover Issues. These issues are just the standard ones with the normal cover page rather than the Sketch Cover. They’ll be available for $4.50/each. Due to the very limited quantity, we respectfully ask you only purchase one copy. If you are unable to attend the convention and would like a Standard Cover Issue, please email us at email@example.com and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.
To reiterate: THIS IS THE TENTATIVE PLAN AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. SHOULD THERE BE ANY ISSUES, WE WILL TRY TO ACCOMMODATE CUSTOMERS TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES, TO INCLUDE REFUNDS.
We have a tentative release date for the first issue of the Tales of Avalon Digital Comic. It will tentatively be available on-line through our website for digital download in PDF format around the Second Week of December, just in time for Christmas! But that’s not all!
We are hoping to have a few limited edition, Sketch Cover, hard copies of the comic available at Midwest FurFest in Chicago, Illinois, USA from December 1-4, 2016. What is a sketch cover? Basically… it’s a blank cover with the logo that Betsy can draw on! It’s your own, personalized cover from the actual comic artist!
We’re also working on getting some other merchandise ready for Midwest FurFest, namely some 11 x 17 mini posters. Again, these would be limited in quantity for the convention.
Due to several recent events, Tales of Avalon will be making several changes.
Two characters that will be appearing later in the comic; Ahit and Kamas. Ahit is the fennec and Kamas is the jackal.
Ahit was a child born to a nobleman and a serving girl. Unfortunately, because she was born out of wedlock, she was not recognized as being his daughter. However, not being cold hearted, he raised her as if she truly was a recognized daughter. When she was old enough, her father sent her to the Nomarch of Tanis to be his wife’s midwife. There, she met her life-long friend, Kamas, but her over all mission was to find a good husband. Unfortunately, the Normarch died childless, leaving the house in chaos. Since she was not a recognized child, she was not able to return home, which meant her future was uncertain.
Kamas was born to a low ranking Nomarch. She was raised in a loving home, and given many things she wished. When she was old enough, her father sent her to the Nomarch of Tanis to be his wife’s midwife. There, she met her life-long friend, Ahit, but her over all mission was to find a husband of higher rank. Unfortunately, the Normarch died childless, leaving the house in chaos. Kama could return home, but she would have returned without a husband, much to the displeasure of her family.
