Betsy’s been hard at work as we get close to submitting the comic to the printer. She’s remastered all the previous pages into the new format. Here’s a sneak peek.

For everyone attending MFF, we are planning to have some Tales of Avalon merchandise at Betsy’s table. Here is the breakdown;
Hyenas are Coming Mini-Posters: For everyone who remembers, we did a fun little image of Runihura in the same pose as Eddard Stark while saying “Brace Yourselves, Hyenas are Coming.” There will be 50 of those available at Betsy’s table for $5.00/each.
A Song of Sand and Fire: The Two Silver Ankhs #1. Now for the news you’ve all been waiting for! First things first though. DEPENDING ON THE PRINTING COMPANY, we SHOULD have 50 copies of the first issue of the Tales of Avalon comic book. (For simplicity’s sake, we’re just going to use the section title, since The Tales of Avalon: A Song of Sand and Fire: The Two Silver Ankhs #1 is a bit of a mouthful). There should be the following;
20 Sketch Cover Issues. These issues are specifically designed so you can have someone draw on the cover! That means you can pay Betsy to doodle something on the Comic’s cover making it completely personalized TO YOU! These will be available for purchase at $7.50/each. Due to the very limited quantity, we respectfully ask you only purchase one copy. If you are unable to attend the convention and would like a Sketch Cover Issue, please email us at thetalesofavalon@gmail.com and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.
30 Standard Cover Issues. These issues are just the standard ones with the normal cover page rather than the Sketch Cover. They’ll be available for $4.50/each. Due to the very limited quantity, we respectfully ask you only purchase one copy. If you are unable to attend the convention and would like a Standard Cover Issue, please email us at thetalesofavalon@gmail.com and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.
To reiterate: THIS IS THE TENTATIVE PLAN AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. SHOULD THERE BE ANY ISSUES, WE WILL TRY TO ACCOMMODATE CUSTOMERS TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES, TO INCLUDE REFUNDS.
Pictured is Yazmin (Balthazar’s sister), her husband Emir Ali al-Daube, and their son, Shakir.
The al-Daube family is a rich and powerful house in the Abbasid Sultanate (think the Tyrells from Game of Thrones).
We have a tentative release date for the first issue of the Tales of Avalon Digital Comic. It will tentatively be available on-line through our website for digital download in PDF format around the Second Week of December, just in time for Christmas! But that’s not all!
We are hoping to have a few limited edition, Sketch Cover, hard copies of the comic available at Midwest FurFest in Chicago, Illinois, USA from December 1-4, 2016. What is a sketch cover? Basically… it’s a blank cover with the logo that Betsy can draw on! It’s your own, personalized cover from the actual comic artist!
We’re also working on getting some other merchandise ready for Midwest FurFest, namely some 11 x 17 mini posters. Again, these would be limited in quantity for the convention.
